Teaching Philosophy: 21st Century
Teaching and Learning
Information abounds today. As such, I believe my role as an educator is to inspire critical thought, stimulate understanding and support creative expression of knowledge constructed from a variety of audio, visual and multimedia text. My teaching philosophy is manifested by instruction designed to help learners accomplish student-centered objectives for academic achievement and affective development in accordance with my school district’s goals and indicators of excellence, Michigan Common Core State Standards, and National Educational Technology Standards.
I strive to design and facilitate instruction incorporating 21st-century teaching and learning experiences that enable learners to acquire and use strategies and skills that enhance their independence as life-long learners-- special needs notwithstanding.
